As a special memento, we filled a Silvaner that was particularly dear to Thomas's heart, together with some of his former apprentices: „Silvaner 21/04 from Julius-Echter-Berg, vintage 2025. The numbers represent his birthday. A wine, like Thomas himself: straightforward, dry, subtle in its demeanor – yet full of depth and character. Typically Franconian. And typically Thomas.
The Silvaner 21/04 is dedicated to our dear father, husband, and friend, Thomas Mend. Silvaner was always his favorite wine – and in his honor, this special wine now bears his name 21/04, his date of birth.
