Description
2024 Chardonnay – A Franconian Original from Kronsberg
Our Chardonnay 2024 impresses with true Franconian character—grown in the renowned single vineyard Kronsberg, known for its special microclimate and dark, mineral-rich Keuper soils. An exceptionally long growing season until the end of October allowed the vines to fully absorb the soil's richness. The result: a Chardonnay with a clear structure, fine minerality, and remarkable elegance.
The specialty of this vintage lies not only in its taste but also in its rarity: around half of the grapes froze during the radiation frost in spring 2024. Only 500 bottles could be vinified from the remaining grapes – a true treasure for lovers and collectors.
Consciously not aged in barrique, but exclusively in stainless steel tanks, this Chardonnay shows its pure, unadulterated varietal typicity – fresh, precise, and authentic.
The Chardonnay grape variety belongs to the large Pinot family and, in this Franconian interpretation, impressively expresses its origin and terroir.
